8th Annual Gathering of the Pacific Northwest Reconciling Ministries Network
Sunday, February 21, 2010
Puyallup United Methodist Church
1919 West Pioneer Avenue
Puyallup, WA 98371
We live in a nation and culture focused on polarizing our lives. Democrat or Republican? Male or female? Gay or straight? Pro-life or pro-choice? War monger or pacifist? Do any of these either-or labels really fit any of us?
In a nation and culture also focused on sex and all the emotional baggage attached to that topic, we are also boxed in to polarized choices. Yet, more and more people are searching to understand what it means to be female or male or ??? More people are trying to understand themselves and those they know or love who identify as gay or straight or bisexual or trans or gender fluid. It?fs becoming obvious that the world has way more shades of grey that true black or white.
The Pacific Northwest - Reconciling Ministries Network (PNW-RMN) has chosen to take on these issues in their annual Gathering, February 21, 2010 in a conference called ?gDon?ft Box Me In: Diversity In Gender and Sexuality?h. If you have been curious about these issues, here is a place to ask your questions about gender, sexuality and how the wide diversity of gender and sexuality are encompassed within a Christian community. Bring yourselves, your loved ones and your questions and join us.

Prior to that s/he simply knew s/he was two or perhaps as the Hindus would have it, Tat tvam asi, I am that. Tom/Ms.G was born and raised male by parents and doctors who were unaware of hir genetic and psychic "Two Spirit" state.
To summarize hir professional work Tom/Ms.G states "Let's start off with my professional work which is pretty simple. None. I don't believe that being human or intersex is a profession." Over hir life, Tom/MS. G has been a boat builder, handyman and jack/jill of all trades. S/he received a Holistic Health Practitioner Certificate CA in 1984. S/he has been a poet since 1980 and has written creatively since 1952 after realizing how few "real" facts there are in the world.
