Missing in Ministry Armbands
This year the Pacific Northwest Reconciling Ministries Network (PNW-RMN) is bringing to Annual Conference a new project, Missing in Ministry Armbands.
These armbands will be distributed throughout the conference including at registration and at the Ministry Fair. They are to be worn as an action showing solidarity to GLBT lay people missing from our pews and clergy missing from our pulpits. We would like to provide every delegate and visitor with a Missing in Ministry blue armband to be worn on clothing or elsewhere.
Since we will need 1000+ of these, we are asking congregations to agree to make 100 of these armbands and to bring them to Annual Conference by Wednesday, June 14 (or call Carol Waymack to make other arrangements for getting them there).
We will need teams to tear or cut the armbands and then to iron on the message to the end of the armband, with transfers to be provided. Each team will be provided with enough fabric to make 100 armbands and iron-on transfers. This should be a quick fun project for the craft people in your congregation or for a youth group.
